CHARLES KING

MD

Raised in New Jersey, Dr. King graduated cum laude from Cornell University in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biochemistry. He completed medical school at the University of Florida in 1979, followed by a surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Kentucky. After serving four years as a urologist in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps, he and his family returned to north central Florida. Dr. King is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has practiced in Ocala since 1989, serving as chief of surgery at Ocala Regional Medical Center in 1995 and served on Monroe Regional Medical Center Board of Directors from 1997 to 2001.

JEFFERY THILL

MD

Dr. Jeffrey Thill received his BA from McPherson College in 1984 then completed his MD degree at the University of Iowa in 1988. He moved to Florida for urology training at Shands Hospital.  Dr. Thill began practicing with Winter Park Urology Associates in 1993. During his tenure, he focused on kidney transplantation, laparoscopy, and robotics surgery and general urology practice. He was president of the group from 2009-2011.  Dr. Thill remained with WPUA under the AdventHealth umbrella. In 2017 he joined Orlando Health with practices in Orange and Lake Counties. Dr. Thill is licensed by the state of Florida and is board certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Thill is an office-based urologist. He no longer admits patients to the hospital, nor does he perform hospital based consultations or procedures.

JOHN A. SOMERS

APRN

John is currently practicing with Urology Institute of Central Florida in Ocala. His education includes: University of South Florida in Tampa (master of science) and University of Central Florida in Orlando (bachelor of science in nursing). John has experience in various healthcare fields including family practice, neurology and behavioral health. Currently, he is focused on the specialty of urology.

ERIN ZIMMER

APRN

Erin originally from Saskatchewan, Canada. She graduated from The University of Alberta in 1996 with a bachelor of science in nursing. After four years of acute care nursing in Canada, Erin became a travel nurse in the U.S. For the next 11 years she worked at a variety of different hospitals in several states. In 2011 Erin graduated from Graceland University with a bachelor of science in nursing and became a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Erin practiced at a primary care office in Ocala for seven years before joining the urology team in 2019.
